A J. McKee, appointment
standing the provisions of section 301(b) of the h ederal Aviation Act as F.A.A. Adminis. of 1958 (49 U.S.C. 1341(b)), or any other provision of law, the ^'•^/2°stat 744 President, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, is authorized to appoint General William F. McKee (United States Air Force, retired) to the office of Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency. General McKee's appointment to, acceptance of, and service in that office shall in no way affect any status, rank, or grade he may occupy or hold in the United States A i r Force or any component thereof, or any emolument, perquisite, right, privilege, or benefit incident to or arising out of any such status, office, rank, or grade: Provided, That so long as he holds the office of Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency, he shall receive the compensation of that office at the rate specified in the Federal Executive Salary Act of 1964 (title III of the Act of August 14, 1964, Public Law 88^26) and l%^ic22n: shall retain the rank and grade which he now holds as an officer on the retired list of the Regular Air Force, and shall in addition continue to receive the retired pay to which he is entitled by law, subject to the provisions of the Dual Compensation Act (the Act of August 19, 1964, Public Law 88-448). _ sVsfaim' SEC. 2. I n the performance of his duties as Administrator of the note.
