For compiling, preparing, and editing "Senate Procedure", 1964 edition, $4,000, of which amomit $2,000 shall be paid to Charles L. Watkins, Parliamentarian Emeritus of the Senate, and $2,000 shall be paid to Floyd M. Riddick, Parliamentarian of the Senate. CONTINGENT EXPENSES OF THE SENATE SENATE POLICY COMMM^J^ES

For salaries and expenses of the Majority Policy Committee and the Minority Policy Committee, $197,525 for each such committee; in all, $895,050. AUTOMOBILES A N D M A I N T E N A N C E

For purchase, exchange, driving, maintenance, and operation of four automobiles, one for the Vice President, one for the President P r o Tempore, one for the Majority Leader, and one for the Minority l>eader, $42,540. FI'RNITURE

For service and materials in cleaning and repairing furniture, and for the purchase of furniture, $31,190: Provided. That the furnitui^e purchased is not available from other agencies of the GoAernment. INQUIRIES A N D INVESTIGATIONS

For expenses of inquiries and investigations ordered by the Senate or conducted pursuant to section 134(a) of Public Law 601, Seventyninth Congress, including $392,000 for the Committee on Appropriations, to be available also for the purposes mentioned in Senate Resohition Numbered 193, agreed to October 14, 1943, $4,777,390.
