For salaries of the chief judge, four associate judges, and all other officers and employees of the court, and necessary expenses of the court, including exchange of books, and traveling expenses, as may be approved by the chief judge, $450,000. CUSTOMS COURT SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For salaries of the chief judge and eight judges; salaries of the officers and employees of the court; services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 5 5 a); and necessary expenses of the court, including exchange of books, and traveling expenses, as may be approved by the court; $1,159,400: Provided, That traveling expenses of judges of the Customs Court shall be paid upon the written certificate of the judge. For salaries of the chief judge, four associate judges, and all other officers and employees of the court, and for other necessary expenses, including stenographic and other fees and charges necessary in the taking of testimony, and travel, $1,300,000.
