ACT

To provide foi' the retireuient of enlisted members of the ('(»nst Guard Reserve. Be it enacted by the Semite and House of Repre>fentatives of the United Statefi of America in Congre-'is tu-sembled, That section 755(e) of title 14, United States Code, is amended to i"ead as follows: (e) Members of the Coast (luard Reserve, except enlisted members retiring on the basis of years of active service, shall be entitled to the same retirement benefits as prescribed by law for personnel of the Naval Reserve, and wherever any such law confere authority upon the Secretary of the Navy, similar authority shall be deemed given to the Secretary of the Treasury to be exercised with respect to the Coast Guard when the (Vast Guard is operating under the Treasury Department.?Lnlisted members of the Coast Guard Reser^'e requesting retirement.on the basis of years of active service shall be entitled to the same retirement rights, benefits, and privileges as pres<.*ribed by law for enlisted members of the Regular Coast (juard.*' Approved September 25, 1965. AN ACT To provide an increase in the retired pay of certain members of the former Lighthouse Service. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the annual rate of retired pay of each person retired prior to January 1, 1963, under section 6 of the Act of June 20, 1918, as amended and supplemented, shall be increased by 6.5 per centum, effective on the first day of the first calendar month following the date of enactment of this Act.
