TITLE V—GENERA!^ PROVISIONS F i s c a l year limitationg

Short title.

SEC. 501. No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall remain available for obligation beyond the current fiscal year unless expressly so provided herein. This Act may be cited as the "Public Works for Water and Power Development and Atomic Energy Commission Appropriation Act, 1972". Approved October 5, 1971.

AN ACT To ameml further the Pea<'e Corps Act (75 Stat. 612), as auiended. Be it enacted by the Seriate and Tloune of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 3(b) of the Peace Corps Act (22 U.S.C. 2502(b)), "which authorizes appropriations to carry out the purposes of that Act, is amended by striking out "1971"' and "$98,800,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "1972" and "$77,200,000, respectively. Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946, amendments.

AN ACT To amend section 136 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 to correct an omission in existing law with respect to the entitlement of the committees of the House of Representatives to the use of certain currencies, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 136 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C. 190d), as amended by section 118 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970 (84 Stat, 1156; Public Law 91-510), is amended to read as follows: LEGISLATIVE REVIEW BY S T A N D I N G COMMITTEE S O r THE A N D H O U S E o r REPRESENTATIVES

"SEC. 136. (a) In order to assist the Congress in— " (1) its analysis, appraisal, and evaluation of the application, administration, and execution of the laws enacted by the Congress, and "(2) its formulation, consideration, and enactment of such modifications of or changes in those laws, and of such additional legislation, as may be necessary or appropriate, each standing committee of the Senate and the House of Representatives shall review and study, on a continuing basis, the application, administration, and execution of those laws, or parts of laws, the subjiect matter of which is within the jurisdiction of that committee. "(b) In each odd-numbered year beginning on or after January 1, 1973, each standing committee of the Senate shall svibmit, not later than March 31, to the Senate, and each standing committee of the House shall submit, not later than January 2, to the House, a report on the activities of that committee under this section during the
