Feb- 19, 18*9- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Levi H. Corson Levi H_. Ccrbe, and he hereby is, authorized to deposit in the office of the clerk gg‘;;;‘;gg;":£c2 of the northern district of New York, the title of the print of a cer- proceeding, for tain perpetual calendar or almanac, of which he alleges himself to be <>}>Ti¤;_¤S¤°°PY· the original, sole, and only author, inventor, and proprietor, and to ggugl gglgnggl; pursue the usual legal measures for the purpose of obtaining a copy; of which he is right, with like effect, to all intents and purposes, as would have been ggscsaahgc 'md produced if he had not already, by mistake, proceeded in the southern` district of New York, or printed, published, sold, or disposed of the same: Provided, always, That nothing herein contained shall be so Proviso. construed to affect in any way whatever the rights of persons, who, by reason of the proceedings heretofore adopted by the said Levi H. Corson, or otherwise, have printed, published, or vended the said work, or have in any manner availed themselves of the said invention, in the absence of a copy-right duly obtained by the authors. Sec. 2. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That Public notice before the said Levi H. Corson shall avail himself of the benefits of zgfzfxx by this act, he shall give public notice of the same, in the manner and at the times when publication is made of the copy of the record of his deposit in the oflrce of the clerk of the proper district according to law.
