Besolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 17(a) of the Federal Home Loan Bank Act, 12 U.S.C. 1437, as amended, is amended by adding the following immediately at the end thereof: "Upon the expiration of the term of office of a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, such member shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed and has qualified, but not to exceed forty-five days.". SEC. 2. The last sentence of section 17(a) of the Federal Home Loan Bank Act is repealed, effective August 15, 1977. SEC. 3. This resolution shall take effect on July 1, 1977.
