LONG-RANGE P L A N N I N G FOR FACILITIES

SEC. 105. Section 394 of the Communications Act of 1934 is amended 47 USC 394. to read as follows: " L O N G - R A N G E P L A N N I N G FOR FACILITIES

"SEC. 394. (a) The Secretary, in consultation with the Corporation, public telecommunications entities, and as appropriate with other parties, shall develop a long-range plan to accomplish the objectives set forth in section 390. SEC. 106. (a) The heading for part IV of title III of the Communi37 USC 390. cations Act of 1934 is amended to read as follows: "PART IV—ASSISTANCE FOR PUBLIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES; TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEMONSTRATIONS; CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING".

(b) The heading for subpart A of part IV of title III of the Communications Act of 1934 is amended to read as follows: "Subpart A—Assistance for Public Telecommunications Facilities". (c) The position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for 5 USC 5316 note. Communications and Information, established in Department of Commerce Organization Order Numbered 10-10 (effective March 26, 1978), shall be compensated at the rate of pay in effect from time to Compensation, time for level V of the Executive Schedule under section 5316 of title 5, United States Code. SEC. 201.
