National Grandparents De^gnation authorization. 36 USC 142b.

f o authorize and request the President to issue annually a proclamation designating the first Sunday of September following Labor Day of each year as National Grandparents Day.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the President jg authorized and requested to issue a proclamation designating the ^'^^ Sunday of September after Labor Day as "National Grandparents Day", and calling upon the people of the United States and interested groups and organizations to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities. Approved September 6, 1979.
