Public Law 96-85 96th Congress An Act To amend the International Travel Act of 1961 to authorize additional appropriations, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the first sentence of section 6 of the International Travel Act of 1961, as amended (22 U.S.C. 2126) is amended by striking out "and" immediately after "1978;", and inserting immediately before the period at the end thereof the following: "; and (8) $8,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980". SEC. 2. The International Travel Act of 1961, as amended (22 U.S.C. 2121 et seq.) is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section: "SEC. 9. The Secretary shall reduce the number of employees of the United States Travel Service in the offices of such Service in the District of Columbia, in order that the total number of such employees as of September 1, 1979, and thereafter, does not exceed 40 per centum of the total number of such employees as of December 31, 1978.".
