Smithsonian Institution.

Providing for appointment of David C. Acheson as a citizen regent of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the vacancy in the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution, of the class other than Members of Congress, caused by expiration of the term of Caryl P. Haskins of the District of Columbia on August 30, 1980, is filled by appointment of David C. Acheson of the District of Columbia for the statutory term of six years. Approved December 22, 1980.
