Public Law 97-46 97th Congress An Act To enable the Secretary of Agriculture to assist, on an emeigency basis, in the eradication of plant pests and contagious or infectious animal and poultry

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Plant United States of America in Congress assembled. That, the Secretary pests and of Agriculture may, in connection with emergencies which threaten and animal any segment of the agricultural production industry of this countiy, poultry diseases, eradication. transfer from other appropriations or funds available to the agencies,7 USC 147b. or corporations of theDepartment of Agriculture such sums as the Secretary may deem necessary, to be av£ulable only in such emergencies for the arrest and eradication of plant pests or contagious or infectious diseases of animals or poultry, and for esroenses in accordance with section 102 of the Act of September 21, 1944, as amended (7 U.S.C. 147a), and the Act of February 28, 1947, as amended (21 U.S.C. 114b). SEC. 2. The provisions of this Act shall become effective upon Effective date. 7 USC 147b note. enactment. Approved September 25, 1981.
