PUBLIC LAW 99-89—AUG. 15, 1985 enactment of this Act and shall apply with respect to any expenditure of funds for the operation or support of Bureau of Indian Affairs schools and Indian controlled contract schools for school years beginning after August 1, 1985. (b) EXCEPTION.—The amendments made by sections 504, 505, and 506 of the Indian Education Amendments of 1984 shall be effective on October 1, 1985. Approved August 15, 1985.
