Bishop's Wood Vitrim pellucUa (Mall.). Fairly common Vitrea crystallina (Mall.). Found in many places — lucida (Drap.). Breinton ; Clehonger. Nowhere plentiful — cellaria (MuU.). Fairly common — rogersi, B. B. Woodw. ^= glabra, auct.]. Widely distributed — alliana (Mull.). Not very common. Ross ; Llanwarne ; Staunton on Arrow ; Bishop's Wood ; Ledbury ; Hereford ; Barrington ; Aymestrey ; Michaelchurch Escley — nitidttla (Drap.). Very common — pura (Alder). Fairly widely distributed — radiatula (Alder). Sparingly. Whitchurch ; Longworth Euconulus [=Fitrea] fulva (Mall.). Widely distri- buted, but not common Aiion ater (Linn.). Quite common — subfuscus (Drap.). Hereford — intermedius. Norm. Hereford ; Ross — hortensis, Fer. Common — fasciatus. Nils. _=zcircumsc7'iptus, Johnst.]. Bishop's Wood ; Ross Functum pygmaum (Drap.). Rare at Burghill ; Rother- was Wood Sphyradium edentulum (Drap.). Backbury sparingly Pyramidula rupestris (Drap.). Very abundant at Great Doward Hill ; one specimen at Staunton on Arrow — rotundata (Mull.). Very common and generally distributed Helkella virgata (Da Costa). Near Ross — itala (Linn.). Common between Burghill and Moreton ; Stretton Sugwas ; Westside Hill ; Schucknell Hill — caperata (Mont.). Fairly common and widely distributed ■ — cantiana (Mont.). Dinmore. Attempts to colo- nize this species near Hereford failed Hygromia fusca (Mont.). Great Doward Hill ; Stoke Woods ; Whitney-on-Wye — hispida (Linn.). Widely distributed and common — rufescens (Penn.). Broomy Hill ; Ross ; Great Doward Hill ; Rotherwas : Wareham ; Staun- ton on Wye ; Badnage ; Dormington Quar- ries Acanthinula aculeata (Mull.). Rather widely dis- tributed Valhnia pukhella (MwW.). Dinedor ; Doward; Back- bury ; Dormington ; Credenhill. Most likely some of these will prove to be V. excentrica, a species only recently recognized in this country — ctstata (Mull.). Occurs in most places — nemoralis,Un-a. widely distributed and common — hortensis. Mull, j ' Ena _ = Buliminusl obscura (MuU.). Sparingly in a good many localities CochRcopa lubrica (MUlL). Common, and widely distributed Ctecilioides [= deci/iane/Ia] acicula (MuU.). Backbury Hill ; Ross ; Bishop's Wood ; rejectamenta of the Wye at Hereford Jaminia [ = Pupa'] secale (Drap.). Abundant in quar- ries on Great Doward Hill — anglica (Fer.). Whitney on Vfy^. — cylindracea (Da Costa). Occurs in several localities — muscorum (Linn.). Occurs rarely on the Doward Vertigo antivertigo (Drap.). A few in quarries in Stoke Woods — substriata (Jeff.). In a subfossil deposit at Ledbury — pygmiea (Drap.). A few on Backbury Hill ; Dormington Quarries ; near Huntingdon — pusilla. Mall. In a subfossil deposit at Ledbury Balea perversa (Linn.). Tillington Common ; Rother- was ; Backbury Hill ; Bishop's Wood Clamilia laminata (Mont.). Doward ; Dormington Quarries ; Adams Rocks, Backbury Hill ; Bishop's Wood — bidentata (Str5m.). Widely distributed, but only common in the limestone districts Succinea putris (Linn.). ) Fairly common and widely — elegans, Risso. j distributed b. Basommatophora Caryckium minimum. Mall. Common Ancylus Jiuviatilis, Mull. In many streams Acroloxus _ = Ancyhsl lacustris (Linn.). Widely dis- tributed Limneea pereger (Mali.). Common everywhere — palustris (Mull.). Widely distributed — truncatula (Mull.). Common in many places — stagnalis (Linn.). Not very common Planorbis corneus (Linn.). Introduced into a pond at Broomy Hill — albus, Mull. Not very common — glaber, Jeff. Burton Court, near Eardisland ; Rotherwas Park — crista _ = nautileus' (Linn.). Grafton ; Garnons Park ; Whitchurch — cannatus, Mali. Canal near Hereford — umbilicatus, MUll. [ = marpnatus, Drap.]. Not common — vortex (Linn.). "J — spirorbis (Linn.).
