Piffard) ; Tring (Elli- man) ; Cheshunt (Boyd) This moth may in some years be found in considerable numbers in the daytime at rest in the crevices of bark of oak, elm and other trees. It also occurs on fences. On the whole it cannot be described as a common insect chrysozona, Bkh. (dysodea, Hb.).
