Not common : colony near Uppingham ; Morcott Hygromia hispida (Linn.). Not uncommon with the next species — rufescens (Penn.). Common throughout Acanthinula aculeata (Mull.). Near Uppingham, Stoke Wood, Ayston Lane rallonia pukhella (Mull.). Not common :_ Ayston Lane, Glaston. With this may be included some examples of V. exccntrica, a species only recently recognized in this country — coslata (Mull.). With preceding. Also at Bisbrooke Helicigona lapicida (Linn.). Two specimens near Uppingham, Edith Weston, Tixover — arbustorum (Linn.). Local : Liddington, Oak- ham, Uppingham, Caldecott Helix aspersa. Mull. Common — nemoralis, Linn. Distributed throughout — hortensis. Mull. Distributed throughout Er.a [Bu/imitius] obscura (Mull.). Not uncommon : Liddington, Oakham, Uppingham, Calde- cott Cochlicopa lubrica (Mull.). Not uncommon Azeca trideiis (Pult.). Three specimens near Calde- cott, Stoke Wood Caecilioidcs [Caeci/iane/7a] acicula (MlilL). Two dead specimens near the Mill, Caldecott Jaminia [P'lpd] cylindracea (DaCosta). In woods near Uppingham and on walls — muscorum (Linn.). Some striking forms near Caldecott Planorbis comeus (Linn.). Common — albui. Mull. Fairly common — gkber, Jeff. Burgess Pond — crista [ = naut!/eus] (Linn.).
