A HISTORY OF SUSSEX CHERNETES CHELIFERID^ Out of twenty species of false scorpions hitherto recorded as indigenous to Great Britain only two have been taken in this county. The various species can usually be found amongst moss and dead leaves, or beneath stones and the bark of trees. They are unmistakable on account of their possession of a pair of forcipated palpi, like those of the true scorpion. no. Chelifer latreina, Leach III. Obisium mmcorum {LeAch) Hastings (E. A.
