VINCENT’S SYSTEMS

CLERICAL VESTS.

Diagram 47.

The Clerical Vest has all the principal points found as Diagram 38.

The special features of this class are at the neck, which requires careful adjustment.

The outline illustrated is that most approved by Clerical tailors.

It is finished with an opening between the collar ends when buttoned of about 2 inches.

Stand collars are the most popular, but occasionally the neck is finished with a Prussian collar.

To keep the bottom of opening square raise point I as shown. It has 8 buttons up the front.

In trying on Clerical Vests see that the customer is wearing a clerical collar, as these affect the fit.

The Dress Vest worn by clergymen is the same style as this, but cut away, say to 1 inch behind I at the top, down to the third or fourth button (see Diagram 59).
