Seasonal Predictions.
Cold weather often prevails about March 8, April 11, April 25, and the second or third week in May, and warm weather about the middle of August, the first week in November, and the first week in December. Hence, when at these times the weather begins to turn warm or cold, a continuance of such weather may be expected for a few days.

The cold weather of the beginning of November is accompanied by an unusual prevalence of N. and N.W. winds and calms; by a diminution of the invisible vapour in the atmosphere; by an increase in the rain-fall, both as to its amount and its frequency; and by frequent fogs.
There is some connection between cold weather and the Easter full moon. It is very rare for the fortnight after Easter to pass without snow falling somewhere in England.—(E. B. Denison.)
