PSALM 137.
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2 We hung our harps upon the willows in its midst.
3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. [4] [5]
4 How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a foreign land? [6]
5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her skill .

I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise to thee.

3 In the day when I cried thou didst answer me, and strengthen me with strength in my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
6 Though the LORD is high, yet hath he respect to the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
