Lord Minto visited the State in 1909 the Rao Bahadur was Inspector-General of Police, and he was congratulated by His Excellency on the excellent arrangements then made. He has also been highly congratulated by the Census Commissioner for India on the "extreme celerity" with which the tables sent in from Baroda were submitted, they were the first to reach the Commissioner in a complete form. His title was conferred on the occasion of the recent Coronation Durbar, in recognition of his great services to Government and the public. The Rao Bahadur is a cultured gentleman, devoting his spare time to literary pursuits. Mohammad Saleh-ud-Din, Khan Saheb Diwan to the Prince of Arcot, received his title on the occasion of the recent Coronation Durbar, in recognition of his excellent services. Address: Madras.


Safdar Husain, Khan Saheb, retired Superintendent of Post Offices, received his title on the occasion of the recent Coronation Durbar, in recognition of his faithful service. Address: Madras.
