Dr. Y Y Tsu

(Chu Yu-yu)

Dr. Y. Y. Tsu was born at Shanghai in December 1887. He studied at St. John's. In college he was a prominent student and athlete. He was also editor of the college publications, the Echo and the Dragon. In 1907, Dr. Tsu graduated from the institution and received the degree of A. B. After teaching in his alma mater for two years, he sailed for the United States in the summer of 1909 for advanced study. He entered the General Theological Seminary in New York City, specializing in sociology. Later he joined Columbia University, receiving the degrees of M. A. and Ph. D. Dr. Tsu returned to China in August 1912 by way of Europe and Siberia, and has since been engaged in educational work as
