HARA, Rokuro (TOKYO), Banker; b. Tajima, 1844. Prominent at time of Restoration; entered business, and founded with others, the One Hundred Bank, and has been largely instrumental in seeming for it the position it has attained; filled the post of President of the Yokohama Specie Bank from 1883 to 1890; one of Japan's leading commercial men.
