3. The ſame church holds Sumreford, and Gunfridus of the abbot. It was aſſeſſed T. R. E. at 5 hides. Alward, who held it T. R. E. could not be called from the ſervice of the church; Here are 6 ploughlands. Two hides are in demeſne, where are 3 ploughlands. Seven villagers, 5 borderers, and 12 cottagers, and 3 ſervants occupy 4 ploughlands. The mill pays 20 ſhillings. Here are 40 acres of meadow, and 8 acres of wood. One burgage of Malmeſbury pays 12 pence. It was valued at 60 ſhillings; now at 100.

4. The ſame church holds Brecheorde. It was aſſeſſed T. R. E. at 5 hides. Here are 8 ploughlands. One hide is in demeſne, where are 2 ploughlands, and 3 ſervants. Nine villagers and 31 cottagers occupy the remaining 6 ploughlands. Here are 12 acres of meadow.
