30 hides. Here are 20 ploughlands. Six hides are in demeſne, where are 7 ploughlands and 17 ſervants. Thirty-three villagers, 26 borderers, and 6 cottagers occupy 9 ploughlands. Three mills pay 21 ſhillings and 3 pence. Here are 64 acres of meadow. The paſture is a mile and a half long, and 3 quarters broad, and there is the ſame quantity of wood. Edward holds a hide and a half of this land, and the third part of half a hide. Of the 6 hides that are in demeſne, the bailiff of the abbeſs T.R.E. held 2 hides. But he afterwards reſtored them to the church, with all it's rents, and at this time they are part of the demefne. When the abbeſs took poſſeſſion of the manor, it was valued at 15 pounds. Now the demeſne is valued at 27 pounds, and what the military men enjoy 3 pounds.

2. The ſame church holds Caninge, It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. at 18 hides, and a yardland and a half. Here are 15 ploughlands. Four
