Lands of the Earl Moriton.

1. The Earl Moriton holds Cowic and St. Mary de Greftain holds it of Him. It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. at 10 hides. Here are 4 ploughlands. Six hides and a half are in demeſne, where are 1 ploughlands and 3 ſervants. Six villagers and 9 borderers occupy 2 ploughlands. Here are 20 acres of meadow. The paſture is 3 quarters of a mile long, and 3 furlongs broad. It was valued at 8 pounds, now at 9.

2. The ſame earl holds Nechendune, and Giflebertus holds it of him. Godvinus held it T.R.E. and it was aſſeſſed at 3 hides. Two of the hides are in demeſne, where is 1 ploughland and 2 fervants. One villager and 8 borderers occupy 1 ploughland. Here are 20 acres of meadow, and 15 acres of paſture. It was valued at 30 ſhillings 1 now at 40.
