XLII.
Lands of Robert, Son of Giroldus.

1. Robertus, Ton of Giroldus, holds of the King Witeberge, Saulf held it T.R.E. and it was aſſeſſed at 10 hides. Here are 5 ploughlands. Seven hides are in demeſne, where are 4 ploughlands and 5 ſervants. Five villagers, 11 cottagers, and 1 borderer, occupy the other ploughland. The mill pays 12 ſhillings and ſixpence. Here are 50 acres of meadow, 50 acres of paſture, and 10 acres of coppice. It was valued at 7 pounds; now at 10. Gozelinus holds it of Robertus.

2. Rainerius holds Fiſteſberie of Robertus. Vitel held it T.R.E. and it was aſſeſſed at 10 hides. Here are 5 ploughlands. Six hides are in demeſne, where are 1 ploughlands and
