Lands of Nigellus, the Physician.
1. Nigellus, the phyſician, holds of the King Stratone, It was aſſeſſed T. R. E. at 30 hides. Here are 14 ploughlands. Five of the hides are in demeſne, where are 3 ploughlands and 2 ſervants. Thirty-four villagers and 18 borderers occupy 12 ploughlands. The mill pays 2 ſhillings. The meadow is a mile long, and 5 furlongs broad. The paſture is a mile and a half long, and 5 furlongs broad. It has been valued at 18 pounds; now only at 16.
1. The ſame Nigellus holds Chefigeberie. It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. at 8 hides. Here are 5 ploughlands. Four hides and a half are in demeſne, where are 1 ploughlands and a half, and 2 ſervants. Eight villagers and 12 borderers occupy 2 ploughlands. The mill pays 7 ſhillings and ſixpence. Here are 20 acres of meadow; and the pafture is a mile and a half long, and 5 furlongs broad. It was, and is, valued at 13 pounds.
