with 3 ſervants is in demeſne. Nine villagers and 16 cottagers occupy 2 ploughlands and a half. The mill pays 7 ſhillings and ſixpence. Here are 40 acres of meadow. The paſture is a mile and a half long, and 3 furlongs broad. And there are 5 acres of paſture at ſome diſtance from the reſt. The wood is 3 furlongs ſquare. A burgage in Wiltune pays 12 pence. It is worth 10 pounds.

10. Brictric, and Alwi his brother, hold Colesſelde. It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. at 1 hide and a half. Here is 1 ploughland, which is in demeſne with 3 cottagers. Here are 2 furlongs of coppice. It is worth 10 ſhillings.

11. Alward holds 3 hides in Poterne. It was aſſeſſed T.R.E. with the manor of the biſhop. Here are 3 ploughlands. One of them is 10 demeſne; and 3 villagers and 4 borderers occupy the other 2. The is half a mile long, and 3 furlongs broad. It is worth 70 ſhillings. Biſhop Oſmund claims theſe hides.
