are 22 ploughlands. Two hides are in demeſne, where are 6 ploughlands, 46 ſervants, and 8 coliberts. Thirty villagers and 40 borderers occupy the remaining 16 ploughlands. Five burgeſſes in Wilton, belonging to this manor, pay 6 ſhillings. Three mills pay 30 ſhillings. Here are 70 acres of meadow. The paſture is 4 miles and a half long, and 3 quarters of a mile broad. It was valued at 40 pounds, now at 57 pounds. Herveus holds of the land of this manor a hide and a half, wherein is 1 ploughland. Nigellus the phyſician holds the church of this manor, with 1 hide. This, with all it's appendages, is worth 32 pounds. But the church is ruinous, and the roof is ſo fallen in, that it is likely to be deſtroyed.
