Has been active in work for the Children's Hospital in Halifax, in home gardens for school children, and the supervision of playgrounds and the industrial education of girls; also interested in measures for the welfare of the feeble-minded. Took part in the organization of the Victorian Order of Nurses, and was for six years pres. of its local council in Halifax.
