TAYLOR, Anna Leila, (Miss), a native of New Jersey, has travelled extensively over Europe and through the Orient, for 12 years a resident of California. Daughter of Edward Taylor, lineal descendant of the Norman Baron Taillerfer, who accompanied William the Conqueror in his invasion of England in 1066 and who asked permission to open the battle of Hastings. Edward Taylor came to America in 1692, settled in New Jersey, where he purchased thousands of acres of land from the Indians. Interested in social service and relief work. Worked among war refugees in Italy, served during late war as volunteer Red Cross nurse in a Florence Military Hospital (awarded Italian R. C. Medal). Has worked among the poor in Mexico City and war refugees in Syria and Palestine (1926). Active Near East Relief worker; for 4 years special newspaper correspondent. TERRELL, Henrietta R. F. (Mrs. Harry Clay), born in Hillsboro, Ohio, daughter of John D. and Henrietta R. Fenner, the latter one of the early educators of Ohio, resident of California since 1891. Married to Harry Clay Terrell. Children: Lena M., John D., Harry Evans. Real estate broker. City Commissioner, (Member of Humane Treatment of Animals Department). Active in legislative, civic and social welfare work of Los Angeles. As Chairman of the Garden Committee of the Civic Ass'n, assisted in getting the Garden Work in the curriculum of the public schools of L. A. During her term of office as President of the Council of Presidents of P. T. A., helped to establish the Saner Fourth of July in our city.
