Ping User:Nihil novi: I suggest removing "" that are not present in the Polish text. Also ping User:Ankry who is the resident Polish expert on Wikisource, would you agree with me that we should not add ""? --Piotrus (talk) 02:44, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the boldfacing (in Polish, tłusta czcionka) may be removed, leaving in place the author's own italicizations (kursywa).
My 5 translator's notes may also be deleted.
Thank you.

Also, the links to Wikipedia articles may be removed.
Thanks.

I am neutral to these as I do not think that a translation has to be strict. Ankry (talk) 09:36, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think the hyperlinks are a bit strange in this context, through I am unsure what is the wikisource MoS. I do think that we should keep original formatting (so italic, not bold). I've added two commas suggested by grammarly, please review. Ping User:Nihil novi. --Piotrus (talk) 06:01, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ping User:Piotrus: Thank you. The commas are helpful. The boldfacing wasn't the author's (regrettably!) and can indeed be sacrificed to authenticity.
I am grateful for your keeping me informed of proposed changes to the translation.
Ping User:Ankry: I appreciate your open-mindedness. I generally (as in the case of this lecture by Prus) try to follow, as closely as possible, the author's vocabulary, syntax, and register, reserving paraphrase for crucial differences between the two languages in grammar, syntax, and idiom.
