I don't really know the best way to format these symbols. I could find ones that looked like the less than/greater than, but not the 'not less than/not greater than' ones, and I figured using the modern symbols would be more comprehensible to readers, but not very true to the original.

Also, I don't know how much LateX markup we're going to want in this book, but I couldn't do the fractions without it, and then the other lines looked stupidly different.

If anyone knows how to do a line of periods that matches (ghosts?) the line above, please correct my ugly version.
