Misspelling of "Harrassing"[edit]

I did not mark "Harrassing" with the SIC template, as Google Ngrams reports that the double-R spelling was commonly used until about 1810, when it gradually (exponentially) fell out of use.
Curiously, Samuel Johnson's 1755 dictionary does not include the double-R form, even though that spelling was prevalent at the time.
For details see [ https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=harass%2C+harrass ].
