"Mought" counts as an interest alt-form for might. A potential lexical association with "naught" or "ought". Naught loosely means "not an extent thing or possibility"; "ought" loosely means an encourage-able action. Ought can also mean the symbol for zero, as opposed to the quantity zero. As in "two ought equals twenty". Thus mought could suggest "might create", as in "want what they mought", or suggest "might deem moral", as in "enforce what they mought". 22:12, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
