questions on formatting[edit]

I haven't been doing this long and I've come upon two scenarios on this page I'd appreciate some guidance.

The first is the first footnote. You can see from the source that it is actually in the title. I put the <ref> tags where I believe they go, but no notation number ends up next to the title like it does in the source even though the text of the footnote is where it belongs. Is there some way to make the [1] appear in the title where it belongs or do I just ignore this?

The second issue is the page number. It's showing up above, rather than below, the footnotes. Any way to make the page number to display after the footnotes like in the source?

Finally, in more general terms, is this the best way to seek help when I have questions? I see that some people put the running header in the Heading field, but just as many seem to put it in the page content. Same with the page number at the bottom—sometimes in the footer, sometimes not. Running headers - bolded or not? These small things come up constantly, and I'm not sure where to turn without making myself a pain in the ass.

Thank you for your help. Snafu22q (talk) 03:37, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
