Amended sentence[edit]

The second line in the second paragraph of this page ends obscurely. It looks like something is missing. I consulted another edition - https://archive.org/details/vindicationofrig00woll (p. 112), and found a semicolon there, which made the sentence much more intelligible to me, so I am editorially inserting a semicolon here.
