THE HYPOCRITE'S REWARD
When came his final judgment,
God gave him for his prize
The crown, the single sceptre,
He'd worn as his disguise.
God gave him for his prize
The crown, the single sceptre,
He'd worn as his disguise.
The crown, the single sceptre,
A new, familiar shame;
For when he came to judgment,
He wore them in God's name.
A new, familiar shame;
For when he came to judgment,
He wore them in God's name.
