THREE
Three baby birds on the wing;
Where did they learn how to sing?
Who, do you think, taught them how
To fly from their nest on a bough?

Three baby buds on the stem;
Who can it be fashioned them
Out of the black garden mould,
Rose-tinted, fold upon fold?

Three baby stars in the sky;
How did they climb up so high?
What is the power divine,
That made them twinkle and shine?
