PRESIDENT WILSON
Mr. Woodrow Wilson, I bow to you,
To your ugly face and eyeglass too;
For behind those lens is thought intent;
That lined face is on wisdom bent,
Traced with rivers of silent thought,
Made deep with will of iron wrought;
And o'er all is your great spirit to brood,
Chastened by sorrow, for all human good.
Of great men like you our nation is proud:
Washington, Lincoln, and Wilson's the crowd.
