Founded in 1912 as a weekly intellectual magazine by Charles Kay Ogden (1889-1957). From 1919 to 1922 it was monthly and contained collaborative work with I. A. Richards (1893-1979) which later lead to their joint book The Meaning of Meaning (1923).[1]
