	In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.	Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
096:001	Read in the name of your Lord who has created.	Iqra/ bi-ismi rabbika allathee khalaqa
096:002	He created man from a clot.	Khalaqa al-insana min AAalaqin
096:003	Read, and your Lord is the Generous One.	Iqra/ warabbuka al-akramu
096:004	The One who taught by the pen.	Allathee AAallama bialqalami
096:005	He taught man what he did not know.	AAallama al-insana ma lam yaAAlam
096:006	Alas, man is bound to transgress.	Kalla inna al-insana layatgha
096:007	When he achieves, he has no need.	An raahu istaghna
096:008	To your Lord is the return.	Inna ila rabbika alrrujAAa
096:009	Have you seen the one who deters	Araayta allathee yanha
096:010	A servant from reaching out?	AAabdan itha salla
096:011	Have you seen if he was being guided,	Araayta in kana AAala alhuda
096:012	Or he ordered righteousness?	Aw amara bialttaqwa
096:013	Have you seen if he lied and turned away?	Araayta in kaththaba watawalla
096:014	Did he not know that God can see?	Alam yaAAlam bi-anna Allaha yara
096:015	Alas, if he does not cease, We will strike the frontal lobe.	Kalla la-in lam yantahi lanasfaAAan bialnnasiyati
096:016	A frontal lobe which lies and errs.	Nasiyatin kathibatin khati-atin
096:017	So let him call on his supporter.	FalyadAAu nadiyahu
096:018	We will call on the guardians.	SanadAAu alzzabaniyata
096:019	Alas, do not obey him, prostrate and come near.	Kalla la tutiAAhu waosjud waiqtarib
