Richard Nixon's resignation letter (1974)

The letter presented by Richard Nixon to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger on August 9, 1974, resigning the office of the presidency due to the Watergate scandal and impending impeachment. This is the first and only resignation letter written by a president of the United States.
