The President met in private for approximately 15 minutes with Henry C. Lodge, the chief US negotiator at the Vietnam peace talks.

They were then joined by other officials including:

The President and chief negotiator Henry C. Lodge then met with South Vietnam's Vice President, Nguyen Cao Ky for approximately 15 minutes.

Pham Dang Lam, chief negotiator for South Vietnam, and additional American officials then joined the meeting.
