Three Rhyme-and-Picture Pages

By Lucy Fitch Perkins.

I. The Road.

Somewhere there’s a long white road
That ends nowhere at all.
It leads from winter into spring,
From summer through the fall.

Somewhere the grass is fresh and green,
And gentle breezes blow.
Somewhere the wind is sharp and keen,
And the fields are white with snow.
