Evidence to support the correction to Sirach 33:16[edit]

Here is a dropbox link to the image provided by my CrossWire co-worker that supports the correction I made yesterday to Sirach 33:16, in which I changed the word 'tred' to 'filled'. This word is split at the end of the line, yet it is quite clear that 'filled' is the correct word.

This may now be the first e-Text edition of the document to have the correct rendering here.

I have provided a link rather than uploading the image to Wikisource, as this is less hassle than providing rigorous evidence that I have permission from the copyright holder of the digital photograph. David Haslam (talk) 08:47, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proofreading against a Google Books version[edit]

For the record I have been making small typographical fixes to Wisdom of Sirach (and a few other apocryphal books too) based on https://books.google.com/books?id=UBssAAAAYAAJ. The corrections read better in my opinion in general but I'm not exactly sure whether the original text here might have based on a slightly different version. I haven't bothered to create a wikipedia handle so please let me know here whether I should have kept the original text..50.200.28.14 20:48, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
