I hope everyone reading this can feel and see the depth of American history here in this good woman diary. And through her fears of the Japanese and the Russians and her reports of the military growth of her day traced since her fathers history in the civil war, I hope Americans can see the web of lies that was woven around us and has entrapped us today. I fault her not for the fault isn't hers. And her love of the Indians and "America's fine colored people" is as American as apple pie, just as the Ku Klux Klan and Corporate interests of today are as completely unamerican. I hear her voice and I feel her heart, it's whats is or was dear about this country. And its vanishing, may the "Americans today", particularly the ones who play the game, the creeps in the mafia like homeland security and others vanish instead.
