Talk:Instauratio Magna/Preface (Spedding)

Reference source: The Works of Francis Bacon, ed. by Spedding, Ellis and Heath, vol. 4 (London: Longmans, 1870).

For the text, I took the version at http://www.bartleby.com/39/20.html, and proofed it against Elibron's photographic reprint of the 1870 London edition. Most errors were "and" at the beginning of sentences was lower case and needed to be changed to upper. A few words were also different, "man" for "men," for example. I wonder if these were changes made to the New Edition (of which the 1870 is one.) --Mccaskey 22:30, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
