What is the copyright status of this work? It currently says it may be copyrighted, this is not acceptable. We need to know if this is a copyrighted work or not.--BirgitteSB 15:40, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It looks to have come from http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/brochures/aef/aef.htm I can{t see anything on copyright, though I haven{t looked too hard, but the site does note "CMH Online is provided as a public service by the U.S. Army Center of Military History." As its produced by the US military I think it may be PD as other federal government works are. AllanHainey 19:56, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually they say many of their documents are produced by the military and those are PD, however some documents come from other sources and those are copyrighted. They say they will not confirm which are PD or not and people must do their own research. This document was published in 1997? (I had looked it up but am not sure) The author is currently retired from the military. If he retired before 1997 this is copyrighted, but I can't find when he actually retired. --BirgitteSB 20:01, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
